What FlipSignal does

FlipSignal is a browser extension that reads Facebook Marketplace listings from pages you're already viewing in your own browser, using your own logged-in session. It sends the listing details (title, price, photo, link) to our server, which compares them against eBay prices and emails you when there's a real profit margin.

What we never access or store

We never see, request, store, or transmit your Facebook password, session cookies, or login credentials. The extension only reads what's rendered on the Marketplace page in front of you — it does not log into Facebook on your behalf, and Facebook authentication happens entirely within your own browser, outside the extension's reach.

What data we do collect

  • From Marketplace listings you view: item title, price, listing URL, and photo URL — nothing about you personally, only about the item.
  • Your account: the email address you sign up with, and an API key used to authenticate your extension to our server.
  • Your preferences: the keywords and price range you configure, stored so daily checks match what you're looking for.
  • Dedup history: which listings you've already been alerted on, so you don't get repeat emails for the same item.

Third parties involved

  • eBay Browse API — used to look up comparable listing prices. We send item titles (not your personal information) as search queries.
  • Our email provider — used solely to deliver your account and daily alert emails.
  • Supabase (database) and Vercel (hosting) — infrastructure providers that store/serve the data described above on our behalf.

We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything beyond running the service described above.

Your controls

Uninstalling the extension stops all data collection immediately. To delete your account and stored data entirely, email us (below) and we'll remove it.
